System of the Interior Railways of the North-West of Russia
Historically, Saint-Petersburg is the centre of the North-West Region of Russia. The region itself is a connection-link between Europe and Asia. The North-West of Russia includes the following republics, regions, city of Saint-Petersburg, and has three railways (12 931km):
