- Opening of the festival in Great Hall of the Philharmonia: St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Maestro Yuri Temirkanov, Gidon Kremer - violin (Schumann, Brahms)
- Opening reception at the Grand Hotel Europe

- 90th anniversary of the Stray Dog Cafe. Celebration, including poetry reading, music and reception
- Terem Quartet, 15th anniversary concert in Great Hall of the Philharmonia (arrangements of Russian and Western classics)

- Grand opening celebration of the spectacular White Hall of the Russian Museum's Marble Palace. Restored to its original brilliance, the historic White Hall will reopen for the festival with an intimate chamber concert and a reception in the gracious Garden Pavilion.
