Energetika and Elektrotechnika 2014
Innovative approaches to the management of the fuel and energy complex of the participants were demonstrated at the XX International specialized exhibition "Energetika and Elektrotechnika" on 17-20 April 2013 in the exhibition center "Lenexpo" The traditional exhibition program was supplemented with the 1st Russian Energy Forum, aimed at fulfilling the strategic objectives and the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of energy.
More than 350 leading companies from Russia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Czech Republic, China, Japan, Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus presented the latest and current developments in the electricity sector, power engineering, energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies and environmental safety. This year, well-known players of the global energy market, namely Kawasaki (Japan), Koncar (Croatia), Sirmet Elettrica and StarPower (Italy), Sahra Kablo (Turkey), Pentair and Hawa (Germany), Kentau Transformer Plant with Enertex (Kazakhstan-Russia), as well as company Informa Exhibitions, the organizer of the Middle East Electricity exhibition (UAE) for the first time participated in Energetika and Elektrotechnika 2013.
For specialists, "Energetika and Elektrotechnika" has become an effective platform for business deals and agreements: at the first day of the exhibition at the stand of the Russian company-leader "Gazprom energy holding" was signed the most considerable in the energy industry contract for the maintenance of basic equipment PGU-800 Kirishi State Regional Power Station. The agreement was signed by General Director of JSC OGK-2, Denis Bashuk and CEO of Siemens Gas Turbine Technology, Ralph Schneider.
In addition, more than 200 exhibitors and visitors took the opportunity to conduct a business meeting at the Center of business contacts with the on-line appointment system for business meetings. Professional advantages of this approach were evaluated by companies such as Aerodyn (Germany), Kawasaki (Japan), Sirmet (Italy), Elmonter (Poland), Hawa (Germany), Hummel (Germany), StarPower (Italy), Jean-Muller (Germany-Russia) "Eurohim Group", "Corporate Energy Solutions", "Helukabel", "Stroyenergokomplekt", "Quasar energy", "LED engineering", "Simex", "Industrial Technology Systems", "Electronmash" BPA Bureau of Industrial Automation, the Consulate of the Republic of Poland, the Representation Office of the Republic of Komi.
At the opening ceremony there were the representatives of the sectoral committees and the heads of the leading companies in the energy sector have congratulated the exhibition organizers and its participants with the twentieth anniversary highlighted the dynamic development of the project and the growing number of participants. This year the territory of the exhibition which has filled three pavilions of the total area of 14,000 sq. m has significantly increased the buyers’ potential of this event. During the exhibition were attracted more than 9,000 visitors.
In order to increase the level and status of the exhibition there has been held the 1st Russian International Energy Forum. The aim of the Forum was discussion issues of energy efficiency and innovative methods of energy conservation. RIEF attracted the participation of more than 800 professionals and helped coordinate the efforts of government and business in energy security and identify the most promising areas of traditional and innovative energy. Therefore, the participants of the plenary session "Energy Security of Russia. Way. Solutions" noted that the main trend in the area of tariff regulation should be long-term rates that should be taken for a period of 3 to 5 years and able to stabilize the energy sector. There also was raised the problem of energy shortage and possible ways to reduce energy consumption, which were discussed at the round table on energy issues in the design and construction of buildings and structures. Experts emphasized the inadequacy of the existing legal framework, and stressed that according to the program of energy efficiency, the total energy consumption by 2020 should be reduced by 40%. In addition, the forum addressed the issues of energy supply of housing and communal services, in particular, improving the reliability and energy efficiency in heating, water supply and drainage system of the Leningrad region. In the framework of a special program on this development were allocated 344 million rubles. Specialists of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the thematic conference drew attention to the need to develop learning integrated centers in the field of energy efficiency, which opened on the basis of large state universities in different regions of the country. For those already working in Moscow, Kazan, Stavropol, Kaliningrad, Arkhangelsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Rostov-on-Don and Yakutsk by the end of 2013 there should be opened another 8 centers where within the next year will be trained 12,000 people.
In perspective RIEF is going to become the largest annual industry event in the North West region, which will promote the development of business meetings and negotiations between representatives of the government and leading energy companies, the expansion of international dialogue and the promotion of products and services to Russian companies on the world market.
