An international conference “Russian Arctic seas shelf mastering” (RAO-2001) opens today in St. Petersburg. Potential oil resources in Russian shelves are estimated by 13 bln. tons, gas – by 52 trillion of cubic meters. An international exhibition “CIS OFFSHORE-2001” opens in Mikhailovsky Manege concurrently with the conference.
