According to the company’s management, opening of Philip Morris Neva in St. Petersburg in 1994 was just a temporary solution – the ultimate goal is to win the maximum possible share of the tobacco market. The closing of the factory is connected with lack of opportunities to extent the production with the present facilities. The maximum production capacity of Philip Morris Neva was 5.5. billion cigarettes a year.
