The previous joint pilot project of 2001 was a success. At present Polyinform specialists are selecting associations of bacteria to decompose heavy oil fractions, which present in great amount in Japan soil. The main task of the pilot project was demonstration of the technology in operation. “SOILEX” technology developed by Polyinform scientists, granted with 12 patents, was applied in these works. It is based on decomposition of oil into harmless carbonic acid and water by bacteria.
