“Baltiisky” Plant of St. Petersburg supplies equipment to China’s Tian-Wang Nuclear Power PlantSt. Petersburg's Baltiisky Plant has begun making equipment to China's Tian-Wang Nuclear Power Plant. The information is according to Baltiisky's press service.
The first heat exchanger of the total six needed for Tian-Wang's first and second power generating units has already been made.
The heat exchangers were designed at Russia's Nuclear Machinery Research Institute in Moscow. They can withstand 8.0 points earthquake, Richter's scale and the capacity to work for 40 years. The Tian-Wang Nuclear Power Plant is being built in the city of Lianyungan in Eastern China. The first of 4 power-generating unit is expected to be exploited in November 2004.
