Company " St.-Petersburg Taxophones " (SPT) since July of this year started installation of new card payphones in Saint Petersburg. Payphones of French firm Ascom Monetel SA will replace a part of payphones GNT807 of the Danish manufacture. At the first stage of works it will be established 300 payphones. New payphones have a number of advantages, and also completely new functions which was not at their predecessors (in particular an opportunity of sending of SMS-messages). The cost of realization of the project makes 350 thousand dollars.
