Today governor Vladimir Jakovlev will visit Finland.

Today governor Vladimir Jakovlev will visit Finland. During visit meetings with the prime minister of Finland Paavo Lipponen, minister of transport and communication, the co-chairman of the Russian - finnish intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation Kimo Sasi and the mayor of of Turku A.Lahoniittju will be held.

August, 9 at session of Group of the Finnish Advisers (the House of Estates, Helsinki) discussion about participation of group in preparation and celebrating a 300-anniversary of Saint Petersburg, and also projects of the Finnish companies in Saint Petersburg will be held. In the framework of session at participation " Mannergejm Union of children protection" projects about the help to homeless children of Saint Petersburg will be discussed.

With the mayor of Turku A.Lahoniittju the governor of Saint Petersburg will discuss realization of " Days of Turku in Saint Petersburg in 2003 ", devoted to a 50-anniversary the partner relations between cities and cooperation in the field of biotechnologies.

August, 10 V.A.Jakovlev will familiarize with the bioindustry of Turku , will visit a complex "Biovalley" and scientific park of Turku. Signing the protocol on cooperation in the field of biotechnologies is planned (from the Finnish side the protocol will be signed by the mayor of Turku).
