On February 6 the solemn ceremony of gilt double eagles returning to the gates of the fence of the Anichkov Palace will be held.

Reconstruction of the fence has been carried out since the 90th, for the project was financed from the city’s budget and so the works were executed by stages. In 2000 27 small eagles returned to the fence, and now two large ones have been revived after historical projects of Karl Rossi. Wing span of the sculptured figures equals 2.2 m. Renascence of the large double eagles was performed by the manufacturing and construction company Rest-Art. Today its workers have mounted the eagles to the pylons of the gates. Representatives of the city and district administrations, as well as representatives of the administration of the Youth Creativity Palace are expected to take part in the ceremony.
