During celebration of the St. Petersburg’s jubilee city guests will be granted visas with less complications.
The decision to adopt this project was taken at the meeting of the State Committee under the chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was dedicated to preparation for celebration of the forthcoming 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg and 1000th anniversary of Kazan. According to the project a foreign guest will be able to get visa just within 72 hours on arrival in St. Petersburg. Other projects aimed to simplify arrival of foreign guests during festive events from April till August 2003 were also considered.
