A museum dedicated to the first Petersburg chemist’s shop may be opened in the Peter-and-Paul Fortress by 2003.
$65 thousand is required to realize this project – to resettle a fund of the Museum of St. Petersburg History occupying at the moment the building required and to restore the facilities.
Interiors of the two-level museum hall will be stylized as an old drugstore: there will be drugstore furniture and medical goods of the 18th and beginning of 19th century. The exhibits will be taken from funds of the Museum of St. Petersburg History. This project does not restore the former Peter’s drugstore, but is just dedicated to its memory, as the first Petersburg drugstore was situated in another place.
