The memorial is created by the Russian sculptor G. Pototsky. The inauguration will take place in June 2002, with a St. Petersburg delegation headed by Governor V. Yakovlev to arrive. During the visit several cooperation agreements are to be signed, and on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg Canada intends to present a bust of Quebec poet Nelligan to the City on Neva River.
