The number of St. Petersburg ice facilities will increase, said Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev.
Two ice facilities are already designed (they will be situated in Primorsky and Moskovsky districts) and work on them has started. Moreover, an Academy of Figure Skating may be established in St. Petersburg. The new ice facilities are intended mostly for training rather than shows.
