In December 2001, by President’s decree, the palace has received the status of a state complex, of the “Congress Palace”. But nevertheless, it will be opened for visitors, as the Moscow Kremlin is. The first stage of reconstruction is planned to be finished by the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
