To Valaam by Catamaran
04.10.2002 15:17

Valaam In spite of the speed, it is quiet inside the cabin and vibration almost lacks, for the cabin was designed as a separate vibroinsulated module. Its construction included a unique spiral rope vibroinsulation. Nowadays it is the best catamaran among Russian vessels of this type. It will be operated at Ladoga, at the seaway St. Petersburg-Valaam, capable to reach Valaam in 4 hours 40 minutes, which is the shortest time now. This ship enables to organize 15-hour trips to the island, impossible before. Besides, a conference hall will be created aboard the ship and equipped with eight television monitors. This enables us to hold conferences and press conferences while travelling by Ladozhskoye Lake.
