The show is intended to demonstrate the wide range of naval technologies, equipment and services offered by Russian enterprises on the international market.
It is remarkable that the international naval show will be held in St. Petersburg during city’s 300th anniversary celebration. Founded in 1703 by Peter the Great as a “Window to Europe” and a shipyard, the city has preserved its original functions. The best ships of the Russian naval fleet have been launched from St. Petersburg’s shipyard berths. They left the moorings to protect Russia’s state interests and open new lands and seas. Every warship leaving the shipyard was built with the participation of the St. Petersburg design bureaus and plants.
The International Maritime Defence Show’s program will include expositions, demonstration of naval technologies, R&D, history of the Russian shipbuilding industry, as well as a summit of the shipbuilding industry leaders, visits to shipbuilding enterprises, VIP meetings and city celebration events.
