An agreement to this effect was reached during the visit of St. Petersburg's delegation to South Korea. Yakovlev said the route was being broken in and there was no telling how frequent the flights would be. Governor believes, once the air route becomes operational, St. Petersburg will have additional numbers of tourists from Korea and Japan.
Yakovlev also informed that an agreement on the development of cultural ties between South Korea and St. Petersburg and the exchange of cultural delegations and exhibitions was also signed during the same visit. This St. Petersburg's delegation was the first to visit both Koreas during one trip, which, Governor believes, should be taken as the sign of some relaxation of relations between the two countries.
