The International Timber Industry Forum is a unique project aimed at development of a civilized market of timber products and equipment for their manufacture in Russia. The main idea of the Forum is a joint discussion of crucial problems in timber complex and searching ways for their solving by representatives of the state authorities, politicians, scientists, heads of enterprises, specialists and entrepreneurs. The roundtable meetings and conferences of the forum will discuss the role of the state in development of domestic timber industry complex, problems of attracting investments in manufacture, creation and usage of new woodworking technologies, questions of timber exports, technical and technological modernization of timber and furniture enterprises.
The exhibitions will cover the following fields: Pulp-and-paper industry, wood chemistry, hydrolysis manufacture (Drevkhim), St.Petersburg Furniture Salon (IFEP), Technologies and machinery for forestry, logging and initial wood processing in forests (Interles), Timber, lumber and woodworking products (Interlesbirzha), Fittings, components, semi-finished products and materials for furniture making (ISPA), Technologies, equipment and tools for woodworking and furniture industry (Technodrev).
The organizing committee of the forum is headed by Russian President's Authorized Representative in the Northwest Federal District V.V. Cherkesov and Russian Minister of Industry, Science and Technologies I. Klebanov.
