WTM-2003 event, which will be held in Berlin on March 7-11 will include a business meeting of managers of Russian and German travel companies and public organizations. The meeting is organized by the Russian Travel Industry Union (RTIU), its Northwestern regional office and the Russo-German Club in St. Petersburg. The meeting will discuss further development of cooperation between Russia and Germany in the travel sector.

Representatives of RTIU told the IPC that the agenda of the meeting will include the following issues: the state of affairs in Russian and German travel sectors and ways to overcome existing problems; promotion of Russia as a tourist destination in Germany; celebration of St. Petersburg tercentennial and related in-bound travel issues for 2003; a new economic program of in-bound travel infrastructure for St. Petersburg, and the investment potential for the Russian travel industry, including investments in St. Petersburg and the Northwestern Federal District.
