Musikmesse/ProLight+Sound St. Petersburg opened on June 18 in Lenexpo
06.20.2003 14:11

Musikmesse/ProLight+Sound St. Petersburg More exhibitors and more product brands are characteristic features of the international trade fair for musical instruments and accessories, as well as lighting, sound and event technology, which began on Wednesday, 18 June. "Visitors from inside and outside Russia can take part in an even bigger and more comprehensive Musikmesse/ProLight+Sound St. Petersburg than at the successful première two years ago", says Gerhard Gladitsch, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, summing up the prospects for the sector's biggest trade fair in Russia's Northwest Region. For three days, 320 exhibitors and participants from 24 countries present their high-grade products to an international audience on around 8,000 square metres of exhibition space. Thus, the second edition of Musikmesse/ProLight+Sound St. Petersburg has exceeded the organisers' expectations and is even occupying an additional hall at the modern Lenexpo Exhibition Centre. Occupying four exhibition halls, the market for musical instruments and event technology is organised by product groups. Hall 1 spotlights sound, lighting and event technology. Hall 2 is the home of electronic music generators and electric musical instruments (samplers, synthesizers, electric guitars & basses and amplifiers). Hall 3 presents equipment for sound, lighting and stage systems while Hall 4 rounds off the range of exhibits to be seen with a complete spectrum of acoustic musical instruments, sheet music, specialist literature and musical accessories. Also in Hall 4 are musical-instrument manufacturers from the Czech Republic, for whom Russia is a traditional export market.

Musikmesse/ProLight+Sound St. Petersburg is also accompanied by a seminar programme that, in nine expert lectures and presentations, take an in-depth look not only at manual and technical aspects of musical-instrument making but also subjects such as authors' rights, innovations in the field of lighting technology and audio & video systems for the consumer market.
