According to the new trends department of the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, about 25 art centers, galleries and artist associations will take part in the festival. Pieces from large private collections of modern art will also be shown.
"There are about 150 galleries in St. Petersburg," a staff member of the exhibition hall said, "however the public only knows about a small part of them. The goal of the festival is to present not only modern art but also to show the city's artistic life and art market."
During the festival the reference and analytical book, "New Artistic St. Petersburg," will be presented and there will be a roundtable conference with staff members of museum, art centers and collectors.
The exhibition closes on July 25.
