Today, March 23, specialists of the Museum for City Sculpture of St. Petersburg , will begin holding preventive restoration work on the monument to Nikolai Gogol on Malaya Konyushennaya Street and the memorial board to the writer of Malaya Morskaya Street.

The monument will be washed of accumulated dirt, a rubbish will be removed from the surrounding area. In addition, the monument will be covered with special protective equipment. There will also be painted the fence around the monument.
