An exhibition of Andrey Chezhin “Abstract Photography” is opened in the “Delta” gallery (Nevsky Prospect, 51) on January 4, at 17:00.The exhibition is held in the network of the exhibition project “Abstract Art in Russia. The Twentieth Century” organized by the State Russian Museum.
Andrey Chezhin was born in 1960, in Leningrad.
In 1982 graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Motion-Picture Engineers and started taking pictures.
Was a member of the photography club “Mirror” (1985), the group TAK (1987).
A member of the art association “Photopostscript” (1993), a member of the Russian Union of Photographers (1995), a member of the International Federation of Artists (IFA).
At the present time is a free-lance photographer.
Works of Chezhin are included into collections of the Russian Museum, the Museum of Photographic Collections (Moscow), a collection of the Humanitarian Fund “Free Culture” (St. Petersburg) and other museums and private collections of Russia, the USA and other countries.
The exhibition lasts till January 14.
