The exhibition “People and Things” has been opened in the Russian Ethnographic Museum, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. There you can see traces of culture of different nations, who lived on the vast territory of the former Russian Empire. The collection of various articles – photographs, drawings – that has been formed by many generations of scientists for a hundred years is the best ethnographic collection in Russia and West Europe. At present it counts about 500 thousand exhibits representing national culture of XVIII-XX centuries.
