The Russian premiere of the Hollywood film "K-19" will be held October, 6 in the Mariinsky theatre in Saint Petersburg.
On the first demonstration of the picture the director of the picture Katherine Bigelow and the performer of one of the leaging roles Leam Nisson will arrive. Distributors have sent the invitation to Vladimir Putin.
The film is based on real events. At being on battle duties in northern Atlantic the first nuclear submarine K-19 has been seriously damaged. On the submarine the system of cooling of a nuclear reactor has broken down and there was a threat of underwater nuclear explosion.
The Russian submariners after a premiere of film in America have expressed otrage of how in film events of forty-year prescription are shown. They speak, that this film is false.
