Finnish theatre “Klockrike” will present in Saint Petersburg performance about a history of Russia and Finland’s relations

The Palace of culture named after Lensovet November, 14 and 15 receives visitors from Finland. Noncommercial theatre “Klockrike” will present to Petersburg spectators Christina Olsoni's play "I will happen by no means!", which is created on works of Finnish writer Arvid.

The basic idea of the play - interaction of the Finnish and Russian cultures during formation of the Finnish state. In the play characters known to the Russian audience – Lev Tolstoy, Alexander Pushkin and Alexander Kollontaj are used. At the same time 33 roles in performance are performed only by nine actors. Action is accompanied by original music - the audience will listen to Russian romances, Yan Sibelius’s music, and at the end of the play actors in chorus will perform “International”.

The name “Klockrike” ("road" in Swedish) the theatre has accepted from the first statement on the novel of the Nobel prize winner Harry Martinson. Among statements of theatre - a novels of known Scandinavian writers, plays on Anton Chehov and Irving Stone.
