On Friday in Saint Petersburg the concert of Helsinki balalaika’s orchestra will be held.
Musicians will perform in the musical school named after Vasily Andreev, the founder of the first Russian national orchestra. To lead a concert dated to the Day of independence of Finland, will professor of the St.-Petersburg state university of culture and arts Victor Akulovich. The Petersburg ensemble "Buffoons" also will take part in the concert.
The Helsinki balalaika’s orchestra, in which about 30 musicians play balalaikas and domras, is one of oldest in the world. It was founded in 1910. This year the orchestra has already performed with concerts in Saint Petersburg, Stockholm and Tallinn.
