Vandals in Petersburg Attack Open-Air Exhibition of Russian Museum

Vandals in Petersburg Attack Open-Air Exhibition of Russian Museum The open-air exhibition of the Russian Museum on Griboyedov Canal in Saint Petersburg was again attacked by vandals. Earlier the works of art had been just painted over, but the last time the canvasses were even wrenched out of their frames.

In spite of the incident the Russian Museum is not going to abandon the project or even placing the paintings higher, where it is more difficult to get them.

“We designed it from the very beginning, so that art would be closer to people” – the museum press-service states. “Never mind it, gradually everybody will learn to love beauty” – the museum administration believes.
