III International festival of hornists

III International festival of hornists

From September 5 to September 8 in St. Petersburg will pass one of the most interesting events of an autumn musical season – the III International festival of hornists. The forum devoted to this fine tool will take place with assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of St. Petersburg, Embassy of Spain in Moscow, Consulate general of Germany in St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg state conservatory of N. A. Rimskogo-Korsakov, Cervantes's Institute in Moscow and Delzell Foundation.
The french horn – one of those rare tools, whose timbre from the first sound elicited by the skillful performer rivets on itself attention of all hall. From it "goosebumps run". The deep and mysterious, filling with itself all space voice of a french horn is a timbre without which the modern orchestra is inconceivable. And still a french horn the fine solo tool (but thus one of the most difficult – Ginnes confirms), for which the set of remarkable compositions is written. It is enough to tell that Mozart created for "a forest horn" of the whole four concerts. The modern jazz tools also don't do without french horn. In a word, its technical capabilities and versatility command deep respect. In Europe and America valtornovy festivals call "hornfestam" and they are extremely popular. Each "festival" is a number of the most interesting events: concerts, lectures and master classes of the leading performers at which everyone can get acquainted with the tool and the music created for it. Exactly thanks to similar events there is an interest in a french horn at the younger generation of musicians.
In the organization and holding a festival the most live part is taken also by the St. Petersburg conservatory where on September 5 and 6 from 15.00 till 18.30 will pass master classes Bon and Baumann. Free admission.
The Petersburg part III of the International festival is supplemented by performances Bonn in First-throned: On September 12 the Spanish hornist will act in the Concert hall of P. I. Tchaikovsky. A concert will take place under the auspices of the Festival of the Russian national orchestra under control of M. V. Pletnev. In addition in Moscow the round table of Javier Bon with the Moscow colleagues is planned, and on September 11 the capital will be visited by the famous producer of french horns, the master Engelbert Schmid. Its two-hour lecture will begin at 15.00. Events of the III International festival of hornists are addressed not only to our colleagues, but also the most wide range of fans of music. And first of all, youth.
