The festival traditionally takes place during the White Nights of St. Petersburg. The interiors of the city's famous palaces-masterpieces of world architecture-create a special atmosphere for the festival. In the year 2002, opera premiers performed by both native and international opera stars, soloists of the Mariinsky Theater and the St. Petersburg Academic Shostakovich Philharmonia will be featured
