One million dollars will be prize-winning fund of the international tennis tournament " Saint - Petersburg îpen ". As the general director of the Petersburg competitions Michael Rydnik said, permission for increase of prize-winning fund is got from Association of tennis players - professionals this year during realization of Wimbledon.

Having a prize in one millon dollars, competitions in city on Neva became rather attractive. Organizers of tournament already have signed contracts on participation in competitions with the sevenhold winner of tournaments of " The Big helmet " American Andre Ŕgassi and French Sebast'jan Groszhan.

Russians will play in their strongest staff – Marat Safin, Eugeny Kafel'nikov, Michael Juznyj and Andrey Stoljarov.

The eighth tournament "St.-Petersburg Open " will be held in a sports - concert complex "Petersburgskij" from October, 21 till October, 27.
