The idea will be discussed between the city authorities representatives and “Worldship Trust”. The meeting will take place on board of Russian ship “Mir” located in the Britain port of Portsmouth, in the South of the country.
Annual award of “Worldship Trust” is a memorial one, such that may be plaqued on wall. By tradition, the reward is given to a sea ship that has been of importance from historical point of view. The reward may also be given to those people who contributed to restoration of ship itself part humanity’s heritage.
“Worldship Trust” management has no doubts that “Aurora” cruiser is worth for such a reward. “ Up to our day only four battle ships of the kind are preserved – in USA, Japan, Greece and Russia. St. Petersburg’s cruiser “Aurora” is in the best condition among them”, A. Chirchill stated.
“Worldship Trust” company was found in 1950 and unites for the moment sea craft and navigation history specialists from 40 countries.
