On Tuesday started III International Conference on shipbuilding ISC’2002 devoted to St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary.

The forum’s participants are going to discuss the problems of modern shipbuilding and get acquainted with the latest achievements of science of shipbuilding. At five technical workshops of the conference will be considered the questions of development of the marine transport systems, of design and construction of prospective ships, safety on sea, endurance of marine constructions.

In the conference work will participate about 400 scientists, experts and businessmen representing shipbuilding and the adjoining industries, scientific research organizations and construction bureaus, classification societies, educational institutions and Navy Fleets of 18 countries of Asia, Europe and North America. For the first time in the work of the forum will take part representatives from Ghana, Greece, Iran and Turkey.
