In the Petersburg military-historical museum of artillery, sappers and signal troops on Thursday the unique exposition of defense technology opens.

In a courtyard of a museum where the exposition is placed, fencing and the main gate are restored, engineering communications are replaced, new podiums and illumination for exhibits are made.

The exposition of the Petersburg museum is unique: any museum in the world can not boast of such extensive (more than 200 units) collection of armaments and defense technology exposed open-air. In the museum the ordnance telling about a history of development of artillery from its first examples and up to modern complexes of volley fire are shown. In a collection there is the weapon realized not only by domestic gunmakers, but also created by masters from Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Prussia, Turkey and other countries.

The exhibition will last till January, 21.
