The exhibition "In expectation of Santa Claus: Christmas in Helsinki" opened in Nevskaja Courtine of the Peter and Paul Fortress in Saint Petersburg on November, 30. As the City's Department of Historic Preservation has announced, on view are original exhibits from the collection of the Museum of Helsinki, acquainting visitors with the traditions of celebrating Christmas and other holidays in the Christmas cycle.

At the solemn opening of the exposition, the presentation of the project "The Baltic Connections" (teamwork of museums of Saint Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallinn) was introduced to the public. The exhibition will be open till January, 30, 2003.
