“International book salon – 2003”

On January 28-31 “International book salon – 2003” is held in the Northern capital. This specialized exhibition is organized with a purpose of promotion of products of Russian and foreign manufacturers on the Russian market and implementation of modern technologies in the field of book printing and polygraphy.

Both the St. Petersburg residents and guests can get acquainted with thematic sections representing fiction, scientific, educational literature as well as books on art, encyclopaedias, reference books, vocabularies, travelers’ guides, etc.

Many of these editions are devoted to the forthcoming 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. Materials of practically all expositions located in the “Lenexpo” exposition complex extensively represent the jubilee theme.

To remind it our readers, more than 50 thousand books has been annually published in Russia, annual turnover of the Russian book market comprise around USD 1 billion. About 5 thousand enterprises deal in polygraphy in Russia, with 90% of the product published in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
