Artists to St. Petersburg exhibition opened on Friday, February 28 in the St. Petersburg Artists’ Union Exhibition Hall on Bolshaya Morskaya Ulitsa. Representatives of the exhibition venue said that this is a foremost event in the St. Petersburg Artists’ Union’s city tercentennial program. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, drawings, decorative items, stage set designs, and posters by St. Petersburg artists. Present day works will be exhibited next to pieces by classics, such as K.Petrov-Vodkin, G.Savinov, Y.Tulin, M.Anikushin, E.Moiseenko, V.Oreshnikov, B.Ugarov, and G.Vereisky. A considerable section of the exhibition will feature works by artists from Moscow and other Russian regions, including Osetia and Yakutia.
