The fifth winter festival Arts Square will be held in Saint Petersburg from December 28 to January 7. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by Yuri Temirkanov, artistic director of the festival, 'this year's festival will be dedicated to US-Russian cultural relations.'

The festival will include performances by Yuri Bashmet and the chamber orchestra Soloists of Moscow, the choir of Morgan State University (State of Maryland) and US musician John Lilly. There will also be an exhibition of Boris Kustodiev's work at the State Russian Museum and an evening of Russian and American poetry will also be organized. Yuri Temirkanov will direct the New Year Ball.
