Cher is not ready to stop touring just yet. The artist, whose 2003 Farewell shows earned the third-best grosses of the year, embarked on a European trek May 8 and will give a concert in Saint-Petersburg on June 24.
Marshall Arts, the company behind Paul McCartney's recent U.K. tour, will produce the shows, which wrap July 3. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon for shows in Ireland, England, Germany, Denmark, France, Switzerland and Austria.
The success of the Farewell tour has even caught Cher's handlers off guard. "No question that everyone is surprised at how well it's done," the artist's co-manager, Lindsay Scott, told Billboard in November. "It's sort of like 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' -- not stylistically, but in that it's taking on a cult status. People keep coming back."
For decades Cher has continued to entertain millions of fans with her extravagant live performances and it's hard to believe that this is said to be Cher's last. Cher is still showing the up-and-comers how to put on an unforgettable show. The stage is set for one of the most unforgettable stars of our time to dazzle your senses, explode your mind and take you on a journey beyond belief.
