A world-known Indian Guru of Yoga, the humanitarian leader and official consultant of the World Healthcare Committee Shri Shri Ravi Shankar will visit St. Petersburg for the first time. He has prepared several surprises for St. Petersburg citizens. On September 6, 2010 he will conduct a class “Yoga for health and happiness” at “Lenexpo” exhibition and congress center. The visit is organized in the framework of the Global Yoga Week “In a burst of inspiration…”, which will take place in Russia on September 5-12, 2010. Yoga Week is aimed to popularize healthy life style and attract new yoga followers. The event is initiated by the international organization “The Art of living” and international fund “Universal Values”.
Shri Shri Ravi Shankar has invented a new variant of breathing-yoga exercise – Shri-Shri yoga, which helps people overcome stress in a short space of time. The technique is based on the rhythmic breathing “Sudarshan Kriya”. It is a registered method, which helps people fight stress, sets peace of mind and makes body grow younger. The effectiveness of such method has been already proved by the researches, conducted in different medical institutions all over the world.
