The Russian International Energy Forum is destined to become the biggest Northwest event aimed at discussing issues pertaining to renewal of the Russian energy economy in terms of worldwide processes running beyond the scope of the region. The program places special emphasis on the issues of energy economy's technological future and the potential of supplying technology solutions and equipment.
The Forum's goal is to create an effective communication platform for various representatives of economy's energy sector - science, research and education institutions; geological survey and service enterprises; oil, gas, coal, processing, generating and retail companies; representatives of ancillary and sustaining industry branches; representatives of federal and regional legislative and executive authorities.

The Forum aims at:
Coordinating government and business efforts in providing energy safety within regions and the country as a whole;
Determining the most prospective directions for developing traditional and innovative energy economy;
Developing innovative approaches to government management of developing the energy complex (resource basis, procurement, processing, generation, transporting, marketing);
Developing international cooperation in the energy field;
Achieving the status of a leading Russian industry branch event included in the international calendar of the largest industry branch events.
