In 1898 a purse was made up to establish a museum devoted to A.V. Suvorov. It is situated in the building erected by A.I. von Gogen and G.D. Grimm especially for this purpose. The facades of the side wings are adorned with mosaic panels depicting episodes of Suvorov's life.
The exhibits present a number of the Generalissimo's possessions as well as trophies of the Russian army, documents, gravures etc.
The museum has recently re-opened after restoration.
