It is expected that for St. Petersburg 300th anniversary celebration more than 40 chiefs of states and social organizations will arrive according to vice-premier of Russian government Valentina Matvienko who is the head of the Commission on Preparation of International Summits in St. Petersburg during its jubilee year.

Valentina Matvienko stated that the amount of work in connection with hosting and accomodation of such number of St. Petersburg VIP guests is huge, but that the work on preparation for the jubilee summits is started; together with the St. Petersburg governor they discuss some organizational questions. Though the city governor Vladimir Yakovlev is in charge of holding jubilee events only.
