Accomplishing of the park devoted to St. Petersburg 300th anniversary is postponed till 2005

Due to the St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary celebration it was decided at the staff session to ensure the construction of central part of the park in its full scope and to accomplish the construction of the Eastern and Western parts of the park done with minimum costs.

To remind it our readers, according to the park’s project, its construction is the continuation for the current system of historic parks situated on the Yelagin, Kamenny and Krestovy isles; plus it is supposed to be a link to future complex – “Zoological Garden” and to the Yutolovsky reserve. Park’s construction has been started in 1995.

We also remind, that on northern extremity of Krestovsky island May, 27, in the framework of the program of preparation of the 300-anniversary celebrating , the 27-meter arch-belfry with carillon, consisting of 23 automatic bells with computer management and 18 Russian ring bells has opened.
