St. Petersburg governor Vladimir Yakovlev met General Commissioner on the question of participation of France in St. Petersburg 300th anniversary celebration Marek Alter.
Marek Alter, the writer, handed to Vladimir Yakovlev a list of projects which France prepares for the Jubilee Day of the City. As the French Commissioner stressed it, Vladimir Putin got acquainted with all these proposals and he stayed content with. Among the most significant ones one may highlight the opening in the city on Neva of “Parizhskaya” street, foundation of “Volter Cabinet” – a center of studies of the Enlightenment Era, in the Russian National Library, as well as concert participation of French artists in St. Petersburg.
On the meeting General Consul of France in St. Petersburg Alexandr Kelchevsky was present.
