Setember, 10 in St. Petersburg was held a ceremony of putting of the first stone for the Institute of Children’s Haematology. The institute will have the name of Raisa Gorbacheva. Its construction will start in the nearest future. The construction’s accomplishment is planned for May of the next year, right before St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary date.
At that ceremony arrived the first president of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev who stated that the center will built on charity funds. The Minister of Health Yuri Shevchenko from his side assured that his ministry will as well take part in equipping and further maintenance of the new hospital where children ill with leucaemia will be saved.
