Fund “St. Petersburg” guarantees that financing of St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary holiday’s opening at the Kirov stadium will be done in full scale.

September 26, at the course of the city government session stated the general director of the fund Alexander Zapesotsky. According to his words, for the present moment the fund invested 600,000 US dollars into the set up of the press-center of 300th anniversary and started to finance preparations for the holiday itself.

For this, from the total sum of 800,000 US dollars there has been allocated 30,000 US dollars. Besides, the fund allocated 100,000 US dollars to famous Russian cinema producer Eldar Ryazanov for realization of a film on St. Petersburg.

For holding of celebrations for each district of St. Petersburg there will allocated about 100,000 US dollars; the Frunzensky district has been the first one to receive its portion of money. A. Zapesotsky stressed that the fund plans to augment the budget of the on Palace Square holiday concert hoping that world star Elton Jone will take part in the concert. Yet the budget comprise 300,000 US dollars.

“St. Petersburg” fund director also stated that the performance devoted to “Peter the Great” it is best to organize in the Maly Drama Theatre and not in the Ledovy Palace as it had been planned earlier because it will allow to make the project cost less, plus it will give an opportunity for St. Petersburgers to see the performance and after the jubilee. Yet, for the performance realization 250,000 US dollars was allocated.
