A chorus will sing at the Hermitage at night

A choir will sing at Hermitage at night During the days of St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary the Hermitage will be open for the visitors 24 hours a day and for free. The Museum’s Director Mikhail Piotrovsky said that there will be an exhibition devoted to St. Petersburg’s founder – Peter the Great.

The visitors will see the private posessions of Peter the Great, all of his costumes as well as iron canes, his working engineering tools and pipes. At night there will be live music and a chorus will sing in the halls of the Museum.

By the way, it has been planned to open a new entrance into the Hermitage in the yard of the Winter Palace. On famous gates made from cast-iron will re-appear two-headed eagles.
