To highlight St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary there will be set up in the city, besides International press-center, one more informational outlet. On this, today, at the meeting with journalists and the presentation of “Petersburg. Resurrection of dream” contest announced the Russian President counselor Sergei Yastrezhembsky. He stated that the informational area will most probably be set up at “Pribaltiiskaya” hotel. Yastrezhembsky marked that the 30th and the 31st of May 2003 will be “peak” days for holding of the jubilee celebrations. In St. Petersburg will be held two summits -- of heads of the countries – members of C.I.S. and Russia -- EC summit. Besides, during the days leaders of more than 40 states will be present in St. Petersburg.
According to the counselor, journalists pools will take place with each high rank guest or delegation. He also stressed that in the city on the Neva jubilee’s celebration from 1.5 to 2 thousand foreign journalist will participate. It is suggested that they will be lodged in “Pribaltiiskaya” hotel. Russian President’s counselor also stressed that the International press-center “300 Years to St. Petersburg” was set up to highlight the events of the main celebration only and it can’t satisfy demands of such number of journalists.
